Successful participation of C2D in the international business fair in yaoundé (promote2019)

Throughout the event held from 16 to 24 February 2019 at the Yaoundé Convention Centre, the C2D stand continued to welcome many visitors, including high-ranking personalities.

After 12 years of satisfactory implementation, the Cameroon Debt Reduction and Development Contract (C2D) has resolutely embarked on a new communication dynamic. The objective of this paradigm shift is to make as many Cameroonians as possible aware of the Programme's achievements, which are spread across the country's ten regions. Participation in the Promote 2019 exhibition was part of this objective.

As part of its deployment, the C2D acquired a 50 m² stand divided into two spaces. The first space, known as the "Steering Space", dealt with the institutional aspect of C2D, with the history of the Programme, the nature of the Contracts, the sectors of intervention, etc. as its main areas of intervention. The 2nd space was dedicated to Programmes. The very many visitors (more than 2000, including 160 who signed the Golden Book) were able to review the various achievements of the C2D in sectors as varied as education, health, agriculture, infrastructure, vocational training, etc. through exchanges and discussions and especially photo exhibitions.

This first participation of C2D in the Promote 2019 exhibition was enhanced by the visits of many personalities who came to encourage the efforts of this important tool for bilateral cooperation between France and Cameroon.  The Programme's stand thus welcomed personalities such as the Prime Minister, the Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, the French Ambassador and the Director of AFD in Cameroon.
