A framework agreement for the renovation and development of vocational training was signed on 26 October 2018 at the Yaoundé Convention Centre between Cameroon and France. It was a solemn moment and special circumstances. The official launch of the activities of the 3rd phase of the Programme of Support for the Renovation and Development of Vocational Training in the Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Sectors, Consolidation and Sustainability Phase (PCP-AFOP), brought together an important audience of guests.

The evolution of the TRANSFAGRI Programme dedicated to them was at the heart of a supervisory mission.

 

Between difficulties of formalisation, support problems, the need for capacity building and difficulties of access to financial services and products, and the multiplicity of support, Cameroonian Agricultural/Agro-Food SMEs face a series of obstacles that hinder their efficiency and compromise their development.

The economic metropolis' rainwater drainage project has been boosted in recent months. The findings were made by a team from the Technical Support Secretariat dedicated to the execution of the Debt Reduction and Development Contract (Stade-C2D), which visited the field from 30 November to 08 December 2018. The aim was to assess the overall level of execution of this project, whose objective is to combat rain-induced flooding through the construction of drains and the strengthening of the capacities of actors in rainwater sanitation.

Launched in December 2017 at the National Museum of Yaoundé, the celebration of 10 years of achievements of the Debt Reduction and Development Contract (C2D) in Cameroon continued during 2018 in several regions of Cameroon. The series of events, which focused on the promotion of achievements, was characterized by many articulations and activities. These included the organization of a round table broadcast on CRTV, a press conference, photo exhibitions of the programs, the screening of a film recalling C2D's achievements in the regions and the organization of a gala cocktail.

"Community radio is one of the most effective tools for community development. Aware of this reality, the National Participatory Development Programme (PNDP), thanks to C2D funds, has implemented an important project that has enabled the rehabilitation of 8 radio stations and the creation of 12 others, on behalf of the municipalities, in the country's 10 regions. Staff and members of the media management committees have been trained to improve their knowledge in the management and management of this important rural development tool.
